Calendar

Ready when the doors open.

Put an event on the calendar in a minute, let people register from your church’s app, and check guests in at the door. Joined keeps the count, the waitlist and the guest list in step.

A welcome table for the Fall festival: a tablet on an oak stand shows the Joined Calendar page for the Fall festival, Sat, Oct 3 at 4:00 PM on the Main lawn, 180 of 250 going, with the stages Draft, Registration, Check-in and Recorded, check-in opening Sat, Oct 3, and the list of going guests. In front lie four handwritten name tags, Maria, James, Grace and Dana, a green pen and a small pot of white flowers. A card floats above: Going, 180, Derek Alvarez of the Alvarez family, registered 16 days ago.

The calendar

On the calendar in a minute.

A new event needs a title, a date and time, a place and how many people can come. Publish it straight away, or keep it as a draft until the details are settled.

  • Title, date, start time, place, capacity and length on one short form
  • Save a draft, and it stays out of your church’s app until you publish
  • What’s coming up day by day, or past, draft and cancelled events
The Joined Calendar for the Downtown campus: 4 events coming up, showing upcoming events. In front floats the New event tray for Serve day: October 6, 2026 at 8:30 AM, Riverside Park, 60 can come, Open registration now, with Cancel and Publish event. Below lies a printed Serve day flyer on a small stack of paper.

Registration

Registration that keeps the count.

Set a capacity and Joined does the counting. Members register from your church’s app, and the guest list shows who’s going, who’s waiting and who was invited.

  • People register, or say they can’t go, from your church’s app
  • Once it’s full, new registrations join the waitlist, and the app tells them so
  • Move people from the waitlist to going when a spot opens
  • Add guests yourself from People
A phone showing the Cedar Hill member app Home as Derek Alvarez sees it: Hi, Derek, Sunday worship at 9:00 AM, a request to serve as Greeter this Sunday, and Coming up: the Fall festival and the Young adults group. Beside it float two cards from the app's Events tab: Serve day, Tuesday at 8:30 AM at Riverside Park, with a Register button; and after registering, You're going to Serve day, with Can't go.

On the day

A warm welcome at the door.

On the day, the guest list becomes a check-in list. Staff tap Check in as people arrive, from a phone or a tablet, and the count of who’s here keeps up with them.

  • Check-in opens on the day of the event
  • Find each guest by name and check them in as they arrive
  • Close out attendance afterward, and Past shows how many came to each event
A phone showing the Joined Calendar page for the Newcomers lunch during check-in: 4 of 18 checked in, Message guests, Add guests and Record attendance, the stages Draft, Registration and Check-in done, and the going guests: Amara Sorensen checked in, a Check in button beside Ana Dunn, and Ava Hollis checked in. Beside it floats a close-out card: Men's breakfast, Sat, Sep 12 at 7:30 AM, 31 of 34 came, attendance recorded. A handwritten name tag for James lies on the page.

When plans change

Plans change. Your events keep up.

Everything you need after an event is published sits in one menu on the event: edit it, write to its guests, cancel it or copy it for next time.

  • A cancelled event comes off the calendar, and guests see it marked Cancelled in the app
  • Restore it from the same menu if plans change back
  • Duplicate makes a new draft with the same details and no guests
  • Notes to going, waitlist or invited guests are kept on each guest’s timeline
The Joined Message guests tray for the Fall festival: To the guests you choose, it's kept on this event too. Who it's for: Going (180). The message: "Food trucks open at 4 PM on the Main lawn. Park in the east lot, and bring a blanket for the hayride. See you Saturday!" It's kept on Fall festival and on the timeline of 34 guests in People, with Cancel and Save for 180 guests. Beside it floats the event's actions menu: Duplicate as a draft and Cancel event. A closed sand-coloured notebook and a pen rest below.
